Wesley Medical Center Scholarship

Music is a healing art. In that regard, I am happy to announce I have received a scholarship from Wesley Medical Center - the first awarded
- to become a Certified Music Practitioner through The Music for Healing and Transition Program, Inc.

I am attending classes in various locations, and receiving a complete education and exposure to the art of playing and singing for the sick and dying. When I have successfully completed the five required training modules, I will then complete an internship at Wesley Medical Center, before I head out on my own to wherever I might be needed.

It is a privilege and an honor to be the recipient of this award. 

Music has brought healing to me since I can remember, and has helped me through some very, very dark days. I am thankful I am able to enter into a program to allow me to become certified to bring musical healing to those who are unable to go out to hear a live concert.

The scholarship from Wesley applies directly to costs of the course modules in whichever location I attend. Associated with the classes are accompanying text books, travel, and lodging expenses, so PWGI is accepting donations on my behalf to cover those expenses.
